Punk: Chaos to Couture. MET GALA 2013

Ok. *Breathe*.... Everything...so....beautiful.....

The 2013 Met Gala has been such an incredible moment not just for fashion and its designers, but for all of us spectators, being able to watch on in astonishment. The Met Gala has to be one of my absolute favourite events of the year because of the style that it continues to portray through fashion and people.

The theme of "Punk" was executed in such a breathe taking way with so many taking an edgier approach to such a glamorous event.
As Riccardo Tisci(Met ball chair) put it, punk "is not so much about the look, it's about the personality."

Givenchy has to be one of my most favourite's for the night with a pantless Madonna, to a rose printed punk inspired Kim Kardashian. Givenchy had it going on with so many stars choosing to bare both custom made and Haute Couture Givenchy.

Here are some of my favourite looks over all, I am struggling to narrow it down

 Allison Williams, in custom Altuzarra

Amber Heard, in custom Emilio Pucci with Pomellato

Anne Hathaway, in vintage Valentino, with Valentino Garavani

Bee Shaffer, in Dior Haute Couture, and Anna Wintour, in Chanel Haute Couture

Beyoncé, in Givenchy Haute Couture, with Lorraine Schwartz jewels

Carine Roitfeld, in Givenchy

Chloë Sevigny, in Proenza Schouler, with Repossi jewels

Florence Welch, in Givenchy Haute Couture

Gwen Stefani, in custom Maison Martin Margiela, with Fred Leighton jewels

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, both in custom Givenchy

Mario Testino, Christopher Bailey, and Cara Delevingne, all in Burberry

Nicole Richie, in Topshop, with jewels by Maria Francesca Pepe and Dana Rebecca Designs and a House of Harlow clutch

Riccardo Tisci with Rooney Mara, in Givenchy Haute Couture with jewels by Fred Leighton and Jennifer Meyer

Rita Ora, in custom Thakoon, with Tasaki jewels and Nicholas Kirkwood shoes

ELLERY Resort 2013 Campaign

Seriously digging the Ellery Campaign for her Resort 2013 Collection featuring the lovely, Phoebe Tonkin.

I love the simpleness of it and also I'm a huge fan of editing in that way. I feel like the images are simple yet concise, bold yet straight forward and intriguing but not over bearing.

I also love the use of black and white combined with coloured landscapes used in the different layers. It has a really beautiful and dramatic effect and it really assists the concepts of the shoot.

Killing it.

Just a brief outfit post! A really basic example of taking a comfortable and totally wearable outfit that can be worn in the day and into the night time. Absolutely love these amazing crepe drawstring shorts I bought from Life With Bird. The colour is perfect for me to incorporate into my wardrobe and I'm so excited to see what I can come up with.

Just a brief post but lots more to come this week!

Hood Rats

Ok. I am officially dying over the new shoot that the wonderful Sticks and Stones Agency has put together for one of my favourite online stores, Alterior Motif. Hood Rats was it's title, and hood rats is what it defined in the most glamorous and retro-amazing way.

Such incredible styling, in both fashion, hair and make-up. I literally feel like I'm in a 90's get up rap video. It's THE best.
